I am a Southern California born but have live in Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and I now reside in North Texas.
After leaving my job in the nursing field I started to focusing on developing my art skills in both Acrylics and Oils while using nature as my teacher
One of the ways I like to paint is to puzzle my canvases together to create an unusual painting as you can see in the painting below.
I also like to Plein Air (outdoor painting). I try to capture a feeling of nostalgia, a little gesture of God's creation, an event or a moment of time past, rather than a simply recording of an image.
The rural scenery and interior design are often my inspiration.
J.D. artwork is private collections in the UK, CANADA, AUSTRALIA and across the USA.
