ELLIS COUNTY ART ASSOCIATION
2019 ● STUDENT ● EXHIBIT
ELIGIBILITY :The student exhibit is open to all school students, from K-5 to seniors in high school. It is open to students from public schools, charter and private schools, and home school associations. All art work must be executed in the classroom under the instruction of the teacher.
WORKS OF ART Each student may submit one piece of art with a maximum size of 12 inches x 18 inches for 2-dimensional works. Three-dimensional works should not exceed 12 inches x 10 inches x 8 inches. CLICK ON LINK BELOW FOR PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ART.
IMPORTANT 2019 STUDENT EXHIBIT DATES
February 15–March 8—Teachers must advise how many students will be participating by grade so gallery space can be planned.
March 22–23, 1:00–5:00 pm—Art must be delivered to Art on the Square Gallery, 113 West Franklin Street, Waxahachie. The gallery is located on the courthouse square.
March 26–April 6—The student exhibit will be open to the public. Hours are 10:00 am–6:00 pm, Tuesday–Sat. and 1:00–5:00 pm Sunday.
March 30, 2:00–4:00 pm—A reception is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Senior scholarships will be announced at 2:30 pm and a Teacher Appreciation Award will also be announced.
April 7 and April 9, 1:00–4:00 pm—Teachers are responsible for picking up their students’ work.
SENIOR STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS Two $500.00 scholarships will be awarded to high school students who are planning to pursue artistic training at an accredited college, university or art school.
