Waxahachie, TX 75165
***MONDAY, JULY 6, 2020***
- 6:00 to 6:45 pm - Eat, Meet & Greet - Vote Mini Show!
Normally we designate the 45 minutes before announcements as "social time". But as we all know…group gatherings aren’t “the Norm” right now as we continue to observe “Social Distancing”. Traditionally, "1st Monday" has been our way to get to know one another as we meet & mingle. We will re-start our 1st Monday get-togethers beginning July 6.
We’re asking that you please wear a face covering (mask, bandana, etc) to respect - and help protect - those in attendance who might have health issues. We have plenty of hand sanitizer in stock.
- 6:00 to 6:45 pm - Eat, Meet and Greet, Vote Mini Show!

ART ON THE SQUARE ARTISTS FEATURED LIVE! ON FACEBOOK!
We’re generating a lot more “buzz” on Facebook! Gallery manager, Cynthia Nance has started videoing a live Facebook interview with the week day shift volunteers and putting the "spotlight" on their work. Shift volunteers on Tuesday through Friday are the featured “artists of the day”! The daily Facebook Live post is getting a lot of “likes and shares” which elevates the exposure for our gallery and especially the featured artists. Visit our Facebook page (Ellis County Art) to see all the interviews – EllisCountyArt Facebook be sure to like then share it on your personal page!
SATURDAY & SUNDAY SHIFT VOLUNTEERS – “POP-UP ART SHOW”
Beginning Saturday & Sunday, June 6 & 7, weekend volunteers are allowed to “feature” up to 5 of their inventory pieces in the gallery out front on the sidewalk. We have two (2) 6’ wire roll-around rack displays that are stored in the middle closet in the classroom. The requirements: (1) Volunteers who wish to hang work out front are responsible for setting up the display, (2) Your work is featured only during your shift – you must remove & rehang your work at end of your shift, (3) Return the Roll-around displays to the classroom closet at the end of the day.
If you haven’t fulfilled your shift obligation as a gallery artist, sign in to the website & check out the volunteer calendar for June – sign up & take advantage of the opportunity to “toot your own horn” and put your art “out there”! (There are only 3 Saturdays & Sundays left to take advantage of the sidewalk sale…)
FYI – July shift calendar is now open – sign up today!
