Recent paintings from paint outs and competitions
  • "Cut Through" ...short cut to downtown via .Matthews Street from Howard Road
  • "Do Not Enter" - 6x8 Watercolor. The reds, greens and cast shadows is what drew me in on this one! I only had a an hour to paint, and I was able to capture it quickly by painting a 6x8.
  • "Little Green Bug" - 9x12 Watercolor. I found this parked next to an abandoned building. The "bug" appeared to be abandoned as well - It looked like he hadn't been moved in a long time.
  • "Llano River Crossing", 12x16 Oil. This is a crossing near Llano, Texas that in only wide enough for 1 vehicle. There's just enough room larger pickups & SUVs.
  • "Shopping St. Michaels" 16x16 Watercolor. This could be "anywhere USA". I painted this in downtown St. Michaels, Maryland, a little town on Maryland's eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
  • "Sunday Afternoon" - 16x16 Watercolor. This painting won the 2018 Frederick B. Doughas award at Plein Air Easton.
  • "Taking on Grain" - 12x16 Watercolor. If you follow my work, you know that I like painting trucks....I also like painting graineries! This is in Easton, Maryland, painted during Plein Air Easton.
  • "Trappe Landing Grain" - 10x20 Watercolor. What can I say...another grainery!
  • Waitin on a Load - 12x12 Watercolor. This is in the back lot of Boyce Feeds just south of Waxahachie on US 77.
